Melissa Ann Hevner grew up in Palm Springs and the desert communities of Southern California. A self-described tomboy and competitive high school athlete, she spent her teenage years working service jobs at local fast-food restaurants. Encouraged by her close childhood friend and fellow model Natasha Malkova, she moved toward modeling in late 2012, choosing the screen name Mia Malkova.

Upon entering the industry in late 2012, Malkova signed an exclusive performer contract with Twistys. Her vibrant screen energy, natural girl-next-door appearance, and uninhibited enthusiasm quickly established her as a standout talent. In 2014, she secured the industry’s most prestigious emerging honor: AVN Best New Starlet. Following her exclusive contract, she worked freely across the biggest commercial brands, starring in high-budget features for Brazzers, Elegant Angel, and Greg Lansky’s Vixen and Tushy imprints.

Malkova filmed standout scenes with the industry’s top leading men, including Manuel Ferrara, Mick Blue, Johnny Sins, and Ramon Nomar. In all-girl productions, her chemistry with performers like Riley Reid, Tori Black, and Angela White resulted in some of the most viewed scenes of the 2010s tube era.

Beyond her 2014 AVN Best New Starlet win, Malkova has earned numerous AVN and XBIZ awards for specialty scenes and feature performances. Between 2015 and 2021, she was consistently ranked in Pornhub’s annual top-10 most searched adult stars globally.

Malkova was among the earliest adult cinema figures to build a mainstream foothold in competitive gaming and streaming culture. She established a popular Twitch channel playing Apex Legends and World of Warcraft, regularly appearing on major gaming podcasts alongside creators like Trainwreckstv and Mizkif. Her candid, humorous approach to internet culture established her as an enduring pop-culture figure beyond traditional studio films.
